God operates in the today.

He is exposing a generation’s sin—today.
He is turning the hearts of fathers to their children—today.
He is speaking to the atheists—today.

Does this sound like exciting work to you? There’s one more thing He’s interested in today: your heart. Do you want to work with Him? Now is the time.

From the days of John the Baptist until now—2008—the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing. We are seeing God’s reclaiming hand in every sector of society: medicine, entertainment, media, education, sports, government, the household, and business. What’s left to do?

Take the mountain; lay hold of it. God is looking for people who will rise up and succeed within their spheres of influence. He is looking for those who will climb to the top of their mountains and shout out, “I claim this for my King!” He is looking for those who will not let the world get up there, but who will stand firm and defend the work He wants to do on that mountain. He is looking for those who will, when up there, imitate His character for others to follow.

We are in a time of maturity. God has already heard your promise to do whatever it takes for Him. God has already helped you unite with others to build up your generation’s momentum. God has already seen your relentless pursuit of purity.

Now is the time to rise up and take your position. He has implanted specific gifts and placed a specific call on your life. Are you standing on the right mountain? Are you poised to receive Him?

When John the Baptist was in prison, he asked his followers to find Jesus and ask Him, “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?” Jesus told them, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see” and, by that account, John knew. The only way people will believe you is if they can see Christ in your actions.

You’re not simply taking your position to stand for Him. You must take the baton and run with Him; run with it until it’s your turn to pass it on.
